International geopolitical tensions are putting the German economic model in serious difficulty. Focused on exports against a backdrop of the removal of customs barriers, sanctions against Russia, Brexit, the crisis in the Middle East and the Trump era are challenging a model that worked so well in a post-Cold War world.

Should the current tensions continue, it is certain that the German industrial fabric will have to go through a restructuring phase, in particular to maintain its prices and remain competitive on the export market. The weight of the automotive sector in the DAX 40 will have a decisive influence on the index's valuation in the months ahead.

The backtest was carried out with 5 min candles since october 2023. The result was approved by Walkforward testing.
